LIBRARY LEAGUE
The Library League is a group of interested people who support the work of the Board of Trustees through various service projects and the sponsorship of various fundraising activities. Proceeds from these events and the many services of the Library League serve the community. Among other events, the Junior Author's Contest, the Memorial Day Parade and Block Party, and Annual Spring Plant Sale and the Arts and Craft Show.

Library Background
In 1931 a community club and library was founded by Maud and Stuart Bell. In 1951 the Episcopal Diocese conveyed the title of the building to the Gladwyne Free Library Corporation. Since 1961 expansion and renovation programs have kept the library in step with the community's rapid growth. These programs included the children's room, an easy book room, a new wing and the adult room. The most recent renovation was completed in 1992. The library is supported by voluntary gifts and township funds.
